Originals from Out Of My Hands are available (allegedly) for viewing in the special collections room at the library at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Text was typewritten directly onto the pages of Seedy with strategic use of the ghost of the line drawing on the reverse side for placement. I used a strip of white duct tape to cover the staples in the spine, its clean white surface slightly textured by seed-like impressions, and to soften the edges of the cardboard pages of “Fucking Freud.” The original Seedy document was on manually typed onto standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper but when I made over a dozen collections of the series, I made the copies of Seedy 1/4 size to fit into the plastic ziplock bags, labeled like evidence.
